Feedback from the Webcast on www.urbana.org,
December 27-31, 2000

It's great. I feel like I am part of it. - Roshanth

This website has been a real blessing to me. I have enjoyed all the photos and writings. You have done an excellent job and I know lots of work has gone into this. Our son is a staff worker at WVU, I would love to be there, but this was the next best way to be a part of urbana 2000. I feel like I have been a part of it. May God Bless all of you. - Marla

As a new staff (IV alum), my husband and I are going to be on campus soon. With 2 small children, I could not attend Urbana with my husband. I have checked the site several times a day, and it has helped me feel a part of what has transpired there. I am excited for what God will do with the hearts He has touched these past few days. - Mary

I was first challenged by God's love for the world at Urbana 84. Since that time, I have sensed very definitely God's call to me to be a sender, and God has brought into my life several missionaries whom I know personally and whom I have the pleasure of supporting both financially and prayerfully. This Urbana webcast has renewed my vision and commitment to follow God's call, and has given me a new excitement about walking with God and partnering with Him in His work around the world. Thanks!! - Andrew

This webcast is such a blessing from God! It's been so great to be able to be a part of the conference even though I'm not physically at Urbana. Reading about what God's been doing at the conference has been very encouraging. I feel like the Spirit is working in my heart through this webcast! How awesome that God can use technology this way to build up His children! - Tiffany

My daughter has been participating in the conference and it has been a joy to be able to see some of what she is experiencing at the same time. I thank God for all the hard work that has gone into the conference and into the construction of the website, so those of us who could not attend can still participate with what God is doing with the youth of today. So much joy and hope has been given to my husband and me as we see so many young people sold out to Jesus. God is good--all the time. Thank you and blessings to all who worked so hard. - Jan

This webcast is fantastic! As a parent of a delegate, it is really a wonderful tool to help me pray, and know what is going on. Thank you for all your work (I know it is a huge job), and I praise God for all of you who put Urbana on. I attended Urbana four years ago with my oldest daughter, and, thanks to God and His working, my youngest daughter is there now. We will see in eternity the wonderful works God is able to accomplish, and how MUCH this convention pleases Him - so thank you, my brothers and sisters!! - Marilyn

My son and daughter from Jamaica are both at Urbana 2000. It has been great having so much information to log on to daily. I feel a part of the whole encounter. Thank you very much - Marjorie

I've been truly blessed by the opportunity to attend Urbana as a college freshman in 1993 as well as attend in 1996!! Attending Urbana has given me a different perspective on world missions. It was during the last mission convention in '96, that God opened my heart to go on a short term missions trip, thus, going to Africa in 1998. Although I'm still not sure when God is calling me to go abroad again, I realize that my missions is currently here at home in Orange County. I thank God so much for using the Urbana conference to touch many people and to have their hearts "break for the things that break the heart of God." God bless you all! Although I'm not with you, through your webcam I am there in Spirit! - Julie

I've been so grateful to all of you who are putting this webcast together! I wish I could be there in the midst of it all, but despite all that had stopped me from coming, I've been blessed by God to not be deprived of listening, watching, and praying with you all! God bless you all who are part of this conference, and be encouraged that yes, these messages are having an impact on people's hearts. Including those who can not be physically there. Thank you guys and keep your eyes on the prize which is Jesus Christ! - Mike

Isn't God great! He makes it possible for a poor aussie here Down Under who can't afford to make it to North America to take part in Urbana. Although it is just a taste or what it is like there, I am praying nightly that the way God is changing my perspectives is magnified tenfold and more for all those actually there! Thank you for making my flickering flame of passion for God's calling to burn even more stronger! This webcast is such a blessing from God! It's been so great to be able to be a part of the conference even thought I'm not physically at Urbana. Reading about what God's been doing at the conference has been very encouraging. I participated in Urbana 93 as a volunteer. Many things I prayed for at that time and in the following years, I'm seeing happen NOW, in Urbana 2000! The worship, the reconciliation, the power of the Holy Spirit--all are so evident. The level of passion seems much increased since the one I attended in 93.

The webcast is awesome and is allowing me to participate and pray as each day passes. It's very well put together & I thank you for all the work that is going into it. The photos and captions and everything else, gives us a real sense of what's going on there at the U of I campus. I sit here in tears over each and every talk--because there is so MUCH of GOD coming across and because the students are so incredibly responsive. Yes--it's coming right through the computer and I'm so glad that you've made it available to the many who cannot attend. I cannot keep from saying, "thank you God, thank you Lord!" as I listen in on what has happened each day. I pray that every single student and IV staff and volunteer and mission representative, is being personally and powerfully impacted by this Urbana! I'm praying that the city of Champaign/Urbana will be greatly impacted, and that the power of God will shine out like rays from there, returning with EACH student to EACH campus! May we will see the revival we have so long awaited--and that God Himself has so long desired to pour out. He is doing great things! I'm praying for college students across this nation and the world. You were born for such a time as this. God bless! - Beth

I am a mom of 2 boys (well, young men!) who are at Urbana. It has been wonderful having the summaries of what has happened each day. I feel like I am right there with them and am certainly praying for them and the other 19,998. I attended Urbana 1964 and 1967 and the experience changed my life. When I suggested to my 2 sons that I would like for them to go, they said they had already been praying about it and wanted to go. I feel like I am there when I read the on-line information. Thanks for making that possible. There was no email in '64 or '67. Glad it can be used for the Lord.

Wonderful experience. I could not experience while doing the work in Urbana. But here at home, it has made such a difference. - Tony

Hi Old Timers--I'm from the Dave Howard, Kay Barton era (70's and '81), having worked at the Madison headquarters with Urbana and NCF. What sweet memories! The past few Urbanas, my husband and I have worked with IVP and to our regret, were unable to attend this year. What a treat this website is in helping us to feel a part of this great experience! Though it's not like being there, it helps to soften my sadness of not being able to attend and brings back many fond memories. A special hi to anyone from those years! -June

My wife and I have two of our daughters attending the conference. Your webcast is permitting us to somewhat experience and be part of where they are. It also provides us what to expect as they share when they come home. We also know, even more so, that their lives will not be the same after experiencing the worship, fellowship, and moving of God the Holy Spirit at the conference and in their lives. Thanks so much. - Jim and Chris.

My wife, a nurse working in the infirmary, and oldest daughter, high school senior, are attending Urbana 2000. Your website has enabled my family and friends to continue praying for them and this conference in a very real and concrete way. We have been enriched by the teaching and messages and will continue our prayers throughout the conference. Please pass my congratulations along to the staff that created this web site and webcast, it is among the best I've ever seen for Christian presence on the Internet! - Chris

Praising the Lord for your wonderful job keeping we as parents informed!!! Our son and daughter are both at Urbana and through the information and pictures sent, we can pray more faithfully for all of you there!! We are praying that through this conference many more workers will go into the fields to spread the work of salvation through Jesus Christ! God bless you all! - Bridget & Paul

Just to let you know your friends at the Wycliffe North Central office in West Chicago are praying for you each day. - Chuck

Experiencing Urbana 2000 in Bangkok!...I just wanted to thank you for the amazing resources you've created through this website. I am living in Bangkok, Thailand, and working for World Vision International. I count it a priviledge to have participated in Urbana 1996, and had an amazing life-changing experience. Since the last Urbana, I've had the opportunity to serve on short term missions in Guatemala and Cuba, and am now in full time missions in Thailand. God has planted in my heart such a deep passion for giving my whole life to Him through service to the poor, and particularly to being an advocate for exploited children. I am sad that I can't be at Urbana this year, but count it such a blessing that God has me here in Bangkok and I praise Him and worship Him and trust in His plan to keep me here. My heart and prayers are with all of you this week, and I worship God with you and praise Him for his greatness and his goodness. How wonderful that all around the world we can be joined in worship and praise Him as the god of love. Shalom. - Sara

What a wonderful site. as my daughter got ready to go, the site pumped her up so much. and now I read it and am just amazed and blessed. a great design folks, a great design. - William

From December's Tabletalk magazine by Ligonier Ministries: A Jewish friend once expressed to me his wonder at the thousands of college students who attended the Urbana missionary conference. "Why didn't the Jews come up with something like that?" he asked. I answered, "They did." - Geoffrey

I'm a mom at home with two of my kids there and I'm loving being able to hear so much!! Thank you! - Marie, Urbana 76

As a shy, fearful freshman from the University of Kansas I attended the 1948 missionary convention. I was a "religious" kid, but before that time I had not understood what it really meant to belong to Jesus Christ. I don't understand what happened that week except that God seemed to put his hand on me, and my life has never been the same since. I became excited about knowing Jesus, and now 52 years later the excitement is still there. - Jim
