Who can volunteer?
Volunteers for Urbana 03 must be Champaign-Urbana area residents. We welcome families, small groups, youth groups, senior groups and Sunday school classes. Volunteers are needed as early as September and as late as January, but particularly Dec. 15 – Jan. 1. Specific dates are given below.

We encourage college students wanting to volunteer to instead register as delegates in order to experience the full benefits of the convention. If money is a problem, visit our paying for Urbana page for creative ways of raising funds.

What volunteering opportunities are available?

• All-Purpose Team
  People who are flexible and would like to help in any way possible.
  Needed: 175 people, Dec.21 – Jan. 2
   
• Clean-Up Team
  Help with general cleaning needs before and after the convention.
  Needed: 100 people, Dec. 26, Jan. 1-5
   
• Communion Team
  Set up and clean up for communion on the final night of the convention.
  Needed: 50 people,
  Dec. 13 & 31
   
• Delegate Bag Team
  Stuff Delegate Bags with materials for 20,000 delegates.
  Needed: 200 people,
  Dec. 19 & 20
   
• Hospitality Team
  Serve food and refreshments to delegates, staff members, and other volunteers.
  Needed: 100 people, December 20, 26 – 27 & Jan. 1
   
• Office Team
  Call volunteers, answer phones, send mailings, and enter data.
  Needed: 15 people, Sept. 1 – Dec. 31
   
• Prayer Team
  Meet once a month and pray for the overall effectiveness of the convention.
  Needed: 10-20 people, Sept. 1 – Dec. 31
   
• Registration Team
  Help delegates and staff members register.
  Needed: 100 people,
  Dec. 26 - 27
   
• Set-up/Take-down Team
  Load and unload trucks, deliver convention materials, and assist with set up and take down of exhibits.
  Needed: 200 people,
  December 18-19, 22-24, 28 & 31
   
• Taxi Team
  Transport convention guests, staff members, and people with special needs.
  Needed: 150 people, Dec. 26 – Jan. 1
