Travel
to the convention is your responsibility and is not included in your convention
registration fee. DO NOT make your travel arrangements before you receive
confirmation that you are registered for Urbana 03.

between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CT
- Departure
Begins at 12:30 a.m. the
morning of Thursday, January 1, 2004, immediately following the last
session. (Check-out of your housing will be by 10:00 a.m. on January
1, 2004.)
Where do I go?
You should plan to fly into one of these four airports:
- Chicago O'Hare
- Chicago Midway
- Indianapolis
- St. Louis
(If you fly directly into the Champaign airport
(Willard Field), plan to arrive between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. Shuttle
buses will
take you to Registration. You will need your Urbana 03 Registration
ID and will be charged $10.00 at the bus. Do not purchase a shuttle
ticket online. Buses will return to the Champaign airport at no charge
from
7:00
- 11:00

on January
1.)
Why should I fly to one of these cities?
There will be greeters and discounted shuttle bus service organized
at those airports directly to the convention.
- If you live in the US or Canada:
Buy your shuttle
tickets online now for one-way or round-trip shuttle bus
between the four listed airports and Urbana.
Round-trip shuttle tickets cost $65.00 each (airport to convention
and back to airport) and one-way tickets in either direction cost
$45.00 each.
- If you live outside the U.S. or
Canada:
International delegates, see information
below about purchasing
your tickets at the airport after you arrive.
When should I fly?
You have two choices for Arrival:
- December 27. Plan to arrive at one of the designated airports
between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Shuttle buses will operate from the
designated
airports to the convention from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. It is about
a 3 ½ hour ride from these major airports to the convention.
- December 26. IF due to long distances, time zone changes, or sold
out flights it is more convenient for you to fly on December 26 there
will be discounted hotels available (see below) at the Chicago, Indianapolis
and St. Louis airports. You are responsible for these hotel expenses.
(There
is NO housing available at the convention site on December 26; shuttle
buses will run only on December 27.)

Additional Hotel Information:
- Most of the rooms blocked will hold up to 4 persons. When you
call for a reservation, be sure to say how many people are in your
group and that you want the “InterVarsity Urbana” rate.
- You are responsible to find roommates if you want to share the
cost of the room. Due to legal constraints, hotels will NOT match
roommates.
- All prices quoted are Per Room/Per Night. Local taxes will be added
to room prices quoted above.
- It is advisable to make reservations for these hotel rooms EARLY.
Once discounted rooms are all taken, the prices may be considerably
higher.
- All hotels above offer a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel.
Look for signs for your hotel inside the airport.
You have two choices for Departure:
- If your return flight is BEFORE NOON on January 1, we will provide
shuttle buses back to the airports immediately following the closing
session 12:30 a.m., Jan. 1. (This is the recommended departure time.)
- If your return flight is AFTER NOON on January 1, we will provide
shuttle buses back to the airports beginning at 6:00 a.m. on
January
1.
1. Internet Travel Purchase
- If you purchase your airline ticket through an Internet site REMEMBER:
Follow the instructions in "Where do I go?" and "When
should I fly?" above.
- Be sure you have a confirmed seat. Even though discounted
fares are sometimes available on short notice on the Internet, it is
our experience
that flights become sold out many weeks before the convention.
- Be sure to complete your travel arrangements by purchasing
the appropriate shuttle bus ticket from Chicago, Indianapolis or St.
Louis
to Urbana (see the link below). Round-trip shuttle
tickets cost $65.00 each (airport to convention
and back to airport) and one-way tickets in either direction cost $45.00
each.
- If you live in the US or Canada:
Buy
your shuttle tickets online now for one-way or round-trip
shuttle bus between the four listed airports and Urbana.
- If you live outside the U.S. or Canada:
Due to time limitations and mailing constraints, online purchase of
Urbana 03 Shuttle Bus Tickets is limited to delegates from North America.
However, Shuttle Bus Tickets will be available for sale to International
delegates at each of the designated airports at the gathering location
for Urbana 03 Delegates:
- Chicago O'Hare - The Shuttle Bus Center
- Chicago Midway - Lower
Level, Door 4
- Indianapolis - The Ground Transportation Center
- St. Louis - The "Meeting
Place."
Airport signs wil direct you to these locations. Greeters
will be in the baggage claim areas to assist you.
You will need to have the following with you in order to purchase
shuttle bus tickets:
- A Photo ID
- Your Convention ID
- $65.00 (US $ cash) for round-trip
- $45.00 (US $ cash)
for one-way

Charter Bus
Contact these Local

carpools, and related information for road travel from your area. (You
must be registered for
Urbana before you can view the list of local travel coordinators.)
Private Car, Van or Church Bus
Parking will be available for these vehicles. A $10.00 vehicle registration
fee will be charged. This campus
map (PDF) will help you navigate the
campus as you arrive. Be sure to follow
the Arrival guidelines
given on this page. Your departure time will be determined by the driver
of your vehicle, and will be on January 1, 2004.
